Fungaloids are defined as an open species primarily made up of various fungi,
the species itself is incredibly diverse, accompanying very little limiting factors.
This site will serve as both a info pack on the species as well as a guide
for making your own and will be updated to add extra info if it is ever needed!
Disclaimer: Before we get into the information please remember that this species
is entirely open and your character is at the end of the day YOUR character,
if you choose to make you're own Fungaloid, don't be afraid to bend the rules
a bit if it'll better suit the character :]
and if I seen anyone getting on at one another for this you will be put in the slime mould pit >:[
Oh and of course if you don't like looking at Fungi like
moulds or mushrooms id probably click out now!
Fungaloids can be made in any shape or form, usually coming as something
the Fungaloid has become attached to (sometimes literally) or generally things it
thinks looks visually appealing.
There are 4 main types of fungus that make up the Fungaloid species,
these 4 types can be mixed and matched as you would like and there is no limit on the
amount of fungi present within one Fungaloid, as always it is up to your own preference
on how detailed you want your Fungaloid to be!
Due to the nature of Fungaloids and fungus in general this amount can also fluctuate and
change during a Funagloids lifetime rejecting or attaching species as they'd like.
It is optional (and may depend on how the Fungaloid originally formed)for a Fungaloid to have
organs or other body structures like bones. Due to fungi only really needing moisture to live,
eating and other bodily functions are practically useless but still possible.
While the main focus of Fungaloids is to show off various real-world fungi,
detailing their importance and functions to the world, it is entirely possible
to make up your own species if you would like!
Due to the unpredictable and often hostile nature of humans, Fungaloids often
choose to hide away from human societies in Fungaloid civilisations which are usually tucked
into places that would never be checked such as caves, deep woods, abandoned locations etc.
For Fungaloids age and experience usually define alot for their societies ,however this may
differ dependant upon leadership, cultures etc., with their being 5 main stages for Fungaloids:
For Fungaloids there a few ways of creation, leading to various physical characteristics,
due to the nature of creation methods like spores there aren't really any kind of usual
familial roles for Fungaloids, instead Fungaloids usually refer to one another as neutral
parties with relations being more dependant upon the age and generation of the Fungaloid.
(see more in lifestyle and societies)
If you're still unsure about how you want to make your Fungaloid, feel free to look through
a small category of examples detailing with them the original fungi they are based on!
I also occasionally make adoptables of the Fungaloid species, so if you're really stumped consider
buying one whenever they come around by keeping up to date with my Bluesky!
If you ever make art of the species feel free to post it under #FungaloidArt on Bluesky or in the Fungaloid art Channel in our Discord!
If not then in the future I am considering beginning monthly art streams, either on Youtube or Twitch
where I'll be making a Fungaloid with randomized fungus!
