Rusts, not to be mistaken with the metallic process of rusting,
are a type of fungus that primarily specialised in the infection of plants,
specifically targeting the leaves of plants. Rusts usually show warm colours hues
like reds and oranges, giving it its name. Rust are distinctly described as
pathogens, being seen as the more aggressive fungal type and being tied to the
infection of plant matter only. While being the most common to spot, Rusts are not
just limited to the leaves of a plant and can spread to other parts such as the fruit
of the plant, shoots, roots and stems. This infection can lead to various deformities
in the plant's growth requiring the Fungaloid to need to seek out further
body mass quite often as the plant-matter will eventually rot off and die given time.
In Fungaloids rusts can be shown through plant-matter either throughout the body or
being the primary mass of the body as well as warm coloured spotted or splotch
patterns, dependant upon the species, being present on the plant-matter.
Due to the rotting nature of rusts, Fungaloids made primarily of this type
will often form their bodies out of non-organic materials such as wooden or
metallic objects, often cause both kinds of rust to form on them.
